From NCFI - InsulStar® is the most energy-efficient, closed-cell spray-in-place polyurethane insulation system available. This high-performance insulation is formulated from renewable agricultural resources, and is completely non-toxic after installation. It stops air flow into and out of your home, reduces noise, and blocks the infiltration of dust, pollen and other airborne pollutants, and helps to prevent mold, mildew and moisture. When applied by a trained GoldStar contractor, InsulStar® quickly expands to fill gaps and voids, conforming to curves and spaces to form a fully adhered, solid environmental envelope.

Ice Dams...Homes that are not properly insulated can create thick ice on roof eaves. Heat loss through the roof will melt the snow to water. The water will run down the eve and with no heat underneath the over-hang, the water will freeze, and build up over time.
Large icicles create a danger below and can damage the roof. Ice dams allow water to work back up inside the roof, under the shingles, under the Bituthane and inside the house, causing damage. With Blue Foam, heat transmission through the roof is dramatically reduced.
Note: Outside heating and cooling cycles throughout the day will cause some ice-damming, therefore there is still a need for heat tape and gutters.
Fiberglass insulation that is not a uniform color has molded. This happens due to a vapor drive. Moisture will condensate in your wall and collect at the bottom. Because of the plastic sheeting installed over the batts as a vapor barrier, the water will have trouble evaporating. Through the course of winter warm moist air from the house can collect in the insulation as frost. This happens in both the walls and the roof. When it starts to warm outside the frost turns to water and runs down the inside the roof or wall, damaging the home. Blue Foam prevents that from happening. Our foam is 100% impervious to water and air penetration. Since water cannot penetrate the foam and reach the dew point inside the foam you will not have buildup of frost. With batt insulation, the fix to this problem is to vent the roof and allow the warm moist air to escape. It is pure waste to heat that air up, only to vent it to the outside. With Blue Foam we 'Keep the Energy'

Just as the foam keeps the heat in, in the winter, it does just the opposite in the summer. The outside heat on the roof gets hot as the direct summer sun hits it, and the insulation keeps the heat out. Inadequate insulation will allow upstairs bedrooms to get too hot, making it hard to sleep even in the middle of the night. Blue Foam keeps the heat out in the summer. If you have Air Conditioning, your system works a lot less. Here we again we 'Keep the Energy'.
We can spray foam before the concrete slab is poured. By doing this Radon emissions are mitigated and we 'Keep the Energy' from leaving through the slab. Because the earth will remain a constant 55 degrees and most homes are kept around 70 degrees, that temperature differential of 15 degrees cost the home owner money. So by insulating the under the slab we make the home more energy efficient.

Parking garages benifit from foam insulation greatly, reduces heating costs. Polyurethane inulation holds up to this environment better that any other type of insulation. The foam readily adhears to concrete and forms a strong bond with the surface.
